About Tom Ford
Tom Ford’s career into the world of fashion began in 1990, when he joined Gucci as a designer. As Gucci grew and acquired more companies, Ford also rose to new heights. When Ford resigned from Gucci in 2004, he was the Vice Chairman of the group.
It is the following year that Ford announced his brand- Tom Ford. He was accompanied in this new venture by his ex-colleague from Gucci, Domenico De Sole. It was also in the same year that Ford went into an alliance with Estee Lauder to form his beauty line.
Since then, the brand has never looked back. It grew and expanded into a global entity. From watches to makeup- Tom Ford is a renowned name in the beauty and fashion industry. The quality of the products need no introduction.
At present, it is one of the leading luxury brands worldwide and continues to evolve and rise in ranks.
Is Tom Ford Owned by a Parent Company?
Yes. Tom Ford is Owned by Estee Lauder Companies. In 2005, Tom Ford joined Estee Lauder companies to create a line of cosmetics and fragrances under its brand.
Estee Lauder is a massive entity in the beauty industry. It was founded in 1946 by Estee Lauder and Joseph Lauder. It currently owns 29 brands and under those brand names sells in 150 countries worldwide.

Testing Policy: Does Tom Ford Test on Animals?
Tom Ford’s website does not contain an official testing policy. However, they have stated that they do not test on animals unless the laws require them to, when contacted.
Not having an official testing policy available indicates that a company does test on animals. Even if they say that they are against it. Tom Ford is one of those brands that do allow their products to be tested on animals. That is if the circumstances require them to.
Additionally, it is owned by Estee Lauder Companies that does test on animals when required by law.

No, as a brand Tom Ford is not vegan. They do not have an official statement or claim about being vegan-friendly. However, when contacted they have stated that some of their products are free of animal-derived ingredients.
That means you will have to check the ingredients list of a Tom Ford product to find out if it is vegan or not. Funnily enough- Tom Ford is a vegan himself!
